Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station was closed down due to a police incident involving a suspicious package, leading to the evacuation of the station and nearby areas. Three men have been arrested in connection with the recovery of offensive weapons. Glasgow Caledonian University campus was also evacuated as a precaution. Trains at Glasgow Queen Street were cancelled, and performances at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall were called off. Police Scotland is conducting ongoing inquiries, and the station operator, SPT, apologized for the disruption. Various bus operators are using alternative routes for drop-offs and pick-ups, with Citylink services departing from North Hanover Street until further notice. Passengers are advised to check with operators for updates on service disruptions.
