A DHL cargo plane has crashed into a house while attempting to land at Lithuania’s Vilnius airport, resulting in one fatality and three injuries on board the aircraft. The flight, operated by Swiftair on behalf of DHL, had departed from Leipzig, Germany, before the crash occurred around 3.30am GMT. Fortunately, all individuals inside the house survived the incident. Officials have stated that there is currently no evidence of an explosion preceding the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation by authorities. Firefighters were on the scene pouring water onto the smoking building, located 0.8 miles north of the airport runway. The flight had departed from Leipzig at 02.08 GMT. This incident comes amidst ongoing investigations into fires caused by incendiary devices hidden in parcels at a warehouse in Leipzig earlier in the year.
